PostHeaderIcon I have seen the Acoustic Beatles before ….

Hi guys! Was at your gig at the Barley Mow,Birtley on the 26th of Sep(last Sat),I was the guy in the Beatles”White Album” t-shirt you liked! Just wanted to say what a brillant gig it was,and to thank you for 2hrs of great entertainment. All of the versions were good, but I thought Eleanor Rigby, and The Long and Winding Road, aswell as Norwegian Wood, were particually good, and to add in b sides, and album tracks, that are rarely played by some was original.(Hats off for playin some of the Abbey Road medley, can we have all of it next time though?) Anyway, all in all,a great gig, hope to catch you again soon, all the best, top guys!

Next live band is the fabulous Acoustic Beatles see them at the Hilltop Bar & Restaurant on the 18th December 09 and then again on New Years Eve.
The Acoustic Beatles are a duo comprising of Brian O’Donnell and Phil Barker. Brian’s passion was always the Beatles and one day he answered an advert in the paper looking for people interested in forming a Beatles band. He rang the number, Phil answered and the Acoustic Beatles were born.

They re-create the Beatles music using only two acoustic guitars and two voices. The pair compliment each other perfectly, both instrumentally and vocally; the harmony produced in their performance of Eleanor Rigby illustrates this well, in my opinion it surpasses the original.

The acoustic arrangements of these Beatles classics create a fresh feel to the songs and they receive acclaim wherever they perform.

If you have seen this duo before we would love to hear from you – Use our contact form here and we will add your comments to our site.
